On bank holiday Sunday 29th August we are holding a charity event to raise money for a local girl named Kiera.

On the day there will be entertainment for both adults and children including a bouncy castle, fire engine, live bands, kids from clives, irish dancers, disco, stocks, clowns head, play your cards right, open the box, famous faces quiz, huge raffle, face painting, nail art, burger van, medium/healing stall, parachute & More.
We sincerely hope to see you there. We will be opening at 12noon until 11.30pm. Please come along, have fun and show your support!

Looking For A Gig Here ??
As our popularity as the number one venue for live music in the area grows, we are getting absolutely swamped by bands looking for a date to play at the Colonial Bar! If you are interested please drop us a line, including a detailed set list and contact details, to info@colonialbar.co.uk. Due to the volume of enquiries, no gig bookings are made without submitting a set list first.
ATTENTION ALL BANDS (Who want 10% of our takings!)
We are absolutelty inundated every week with 2 things...bands asking for a gig slot....and customers asking for more bands! So we have come up with what we think is a pretty sexy idea, so if you are interested in a gig to audition for regular slots in 2010 and you fancy taking 10% of our takings as your payment...then please read on!
Plenty of our customers have been screaming at us for ages to provide them with even more great live music on a Sunday afternoon and we are always trying to get new bands on board, so this gives birth to...SUNDAY SESSIONS!
Starting immediately, We are taking slots for bands that want to audition for a chance to play here on a regular basis in 2010. In payment for your audition we will give you 10% of the Bar Take whilst you are playing. We will promote *"Sunday Sessions"* in all of our ususal ways ie, flyers, our website, posters, press and radio so you will get the benefit from our marketing support, you should then in turn do as much to promte your event as possible, after all, the more people that turn up to watch you, the more you earn! And if your slot has a good turn out and feedback is good, then it will lead to bookings for your band for 2010.
So there it is...
SUNDAY SESSIONS...3PM TO 7PM...EVERY SUNDAY...PROMOTE YOURSELVES...WE'LL PROMOTE YOU TOO...COME AND PLAY...
AND WE'LL GIVE YOU 10% OF OUR TAKINGS!

LEGEND
Legend are one of the South's most accomplished rock acts specialising in a great selection of classic and modern rock anthems. Anything from the Foo Fighters, Killers and the Kings of Leon through to Whitesnake, U2, Thin Lizzy and Queen. With two guitars in the band there are plenty of twin leads and their mission is to "Rock Your World". This promises to be a cracking night so make sure you don't miss it!!
